Prashant Ghimire

Prashant Ghimire is the founder and CEO of the fast-moving consumer goods brand High Life, which he launched in 2019. Before establishing the brand, he joined his family's long-standing food manufacturing business, which primarily produced cornflakes, besan, soybean, and chiura as a white-label supplier for business-to-business buyers. Recognizing an opportunity to elevate these everyday items, Ghimire consolidated the products under the High Life brand, introducing premium packaging such as matte finishes and aluminum linings, while maintaining accessible pricing for Nepali households. To support this transition, he modernized the company's operations by implementing direct-to-dealer distribution channels, utilizing data-driven spreadsheets for market analysis, and providing mandatory technology training for his office staff.

Guided by a commitment to health and the values of a circular economy, Ghimire has focused on building a community around his products through engaging social media campaigns and collaborations with food influencers. He worked closely with local farmers to source specific sweet-tasting rice varieties for their chiura and adopted protective cardboard carton packaging to ensure the products reached consumers undamaged. Under his direction, High Life has expanded its portfolio to include breakfast cereals, green tea, and superfoods, and currently exports its products to international markets including Hong Kong, Macao, Australia, and the United States.
