Manoj Bhattarai

Manoj Bhattarai is a technology professional who works to digitize and modernize local governance in Nepal. Through his organization, he has helped develop and implement smart municipality technology solutions in areas such as Waling and Chandragiri. By providing resources and making certain source codes open source, Bhattarai and his team enable other companies to build similar systems, paving the way for automated, tech-driven public services that reduce bureaucratic delays and improve transparency.

A strong advocate for decentralization and local economic growth, Bhattarai encourages young Nepalis to look beyond Kathmandu and explore entrepreneurial opportunities in regions like Butwal, Dharan, and Bhairahawa. He believes that collaborating with municipal departments in sectors like health, agriculture, and education is a powerful way for youth to drive development. To support this vision, he offers guidance and mentorship to aspiring innovators who wish to navigate local government budget plans and launch impactful ventures.
