Sanjib Subba
Sanjib Subba is a multi-disciplinary professional who has spent over four decades constantly reinventing his career across banking, education, and fintech. He began his professional journey with nine years in retail banking at Standard Chartered before moving to Thailand, where he helped establish Webster University, completed his MBA, and rose to the position of Executive Director. Upon returning to Nepal, Subba spent nearly a decade building the National Banking Institute from the ground up as its leader, successfully lobbying for policies that mandated banks to allocate funds for employee training and corporate social responsibility. He later worked on a financial sector stability project with Price Waterhouse and transitioned into the core IT sector, currently serving as the CEO of the Nepal Electronic Payment System and leading the Fintech Alliance Nepal.
Outside of his corporate leadership, Subba is a passionate organic farmer who cultivates fruits, Timur, and certified Salyan turmeric on his land in Nuwakot. He strongly advocates for pure food consumption, healthy longevity, and leveraging technology to create direct farm-to-kitchen marketplaces that bypass traditional middlemen. Raised in Kathmandu in an educated family, Subba attributes his drive to a lifelong sense of curiosity and a desire to challenge the status quo. To maintain his physical and mental well-being, he practices daily meditation, runs regularly, and actively avoids packaged foods.
